Condor Airlines With a Direct Connection from Viena to Varadero Now

Havana,Nov, 2012 (Prensa Latina) The well known tourist resort of Varadero will receive a direct flight from Austria by Condor Airlines that will start from tomorrow, according to a press release of the Cuban Ministry of Turism.

Condor has beeen flying from Germany to Cuba for several years now with airplanes B767, that can carry up to 270 passengers.

It was founded in 1955 and has headquartes in Frankfurt and Munich airports in Germany and it is ow by tour operator Thomas Cook, so it is a massive charter airline operation.

Anually it carries 6 million passengers to more than 70 destinations in Europe, Asia, África and America, using regular and charter flights.

Varadero will be host to the International Fair of Tourism in 2013 which will take place from the 7 to the 10 of may next year.

This new weekly flight hopes to transport 13 thousand visitors from Austria to Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport in Varadero, which menas a 10 percent increase in relation to 2011.
