Excellent location, nice place near “malecon”, market, restaurants. Our room is spacious very clean and well decorated, the buffet was excellent breakfast, they have a gym too, internet. It is near from center of the city, revolution square, old Havana.

The area of the hotel is safe to walk around. Across the road there is a shopping mall bit rundown with a supermarket where you can buy water and other bits and pieces you might need. The public areas are lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms I felt did not reflect the rest of the hotel, I would rate them 3 star.

We had a junior suite which was very large as was the bathroom. It had a huge very comfortable bed and was clean enough, The spa bath did not have a plug, which after twice reporting the problem, this was duly repaired.Food Gourmet ,exellent

Room are not 5 stars, The vertical blinds in the bathroom did not close but as we were not overlooked by anyone we did not bother about that. The curtains in the room did not open due to the rails being so old the hooks just would not budge along them. A couple of the lights flickered or just did not go on at all. The bathrobes were extremely well worn and did not have any belts to fasten with. The furnishings were also a bit worn. The large mirrored wardrobe door had a huge crack right along the bottom of it. The air con was not very effective.

Room are a litle tired, having said all that these were mainy annoyances rather than major problems, other than the one we reported which was fixed. We were there to have a good holiday and to see Havana and were out a lot of the time, so it did not spoil our stay – it is just not what you would expect from 5 star accommodation.

The breakfast every morning was very good. Plenty of choice and the dining room is lovely. We had a snack one evening in the piano bar, which we enjoyed and the staff were friendly and attentive. We did not eat in the restaurant as we felt it was overpriced for what was on offer.

The hotel pool area is lovely with plenty of loungers.
We enjoyed our stay, and really enjoyed walking around Havana sightseeing and visiting the museums.

The staff was not so very helpful, the buffet was big so dont worry about leaving there hungry. There is also some different restaurants in the hotels that you eat a good meal. The internet that we payed for was not so good comparing to the price you pay for it. The hotel is a bit off but there is a free shuttle bus to old havanna and thats great.Great location
